Our Mission The mission of Colegio Montesclaros is to train people of the future, integrated into society, happy and responsible, capable of making decisions freely and of being useful to others through their example and collaboration.
Our Vision This school has the vision of a group of free and responsible men and women with their own stamp, a wellformed and defined personality that makes them a role model for others. The Montesclaros School is bilingual located
between Cerceda and El Boalo in the foothills of the Sierra de Guadarrama, North of Madrid. It is involved in the Reference Model in BEDA. We have 55 teachers and 618 students from different socioeconomic status, nationalities and
different levels of learning. The titular institution of the school is EDUCARE, whose aim is to provide students with a total education inspired by the basic principles of the Christian Doctrine. Therefore, the teaching given in the school is religious. Students know its institutional charisma and ideology based in respect, generosity and education. Our school has classroom for Infant, Primary and Bachillerato. Students have 3 playgrounds. Apart from that, there is a sports hall, a swimming pool and music, technology, audiovisual, computer, humanity and reinforcement classrooms.English is a fundamental element in the education of our students. With this activity we intend that expression in this language does not pose an obstacle, that is why we propose this activity in small groups so that conversation is the main axis of learning.
The main objective is for the participants to be able to hold conversations with total ease. The groups will be formed based on level and age and, based on this, the schedule will be made. Our resources are the following: • The assembly
room, with a wide stage and screen. It is equipped with an overhead projector. • Sports centre with 4 basketball, 1
handball and football grounds. (It has toilet and changing rooms)
• 1 physical training classroom equipped with equipment necessary to carry out classical dance, ballet and judo classes.
• 1 Art room with special desks and stools.
• 1 music room equipped with musical instruments.
- 1 computer room with 20 computers with access to internet. • 1 audiovisual classroom with TV, video, DVD and an overhead projector.
- Library with an extensive bibliography. • 3 teachers’ room
with cupboards and computers with access to internet. • Chapel to pray and celebrate important events. • Dining room. • 3 tutorial classrooms. • Offices: Head office, administrative and orienteering offices. They are all equipped with computers with access to internet. • Biology, physics and chemistry labs equipped with all necessary devices. Cultural activities at school; Storytelling. Talks and puppet on Road Safety Education, given by the Police. Granting of scholarships at the end of the stage. Delivery of diplomas of effort, camaraderie and academic excellence. Theater performed by ESO students, for the little ones.Reading of stories in English by high school students aimed at early childhood education. Christmas festivals. Birthday celebration. Protagonist Week. Book Week, with workshops and activities that stimulate the love for
reading. Festival of Letters. Fruit Festival. The educational stages offered by the center are: Early Childhood Education first cycle: 1 and 2 years. Early Childhood Education second cycle: from 3 to 5 years. Primary Education: from 6 to 11
years old. Compulsory Secondary Education: from 12 to 15 years old. Baccalaureate: 16 and 17 years old.
