Closing Meeting of “Everything Starts with Mathematics” Project was held
The closing meeting of the “Everything Starts with Mathematics” project carried out under the coordination of Karaman Provincial Directorate of National Education and financed by the European Commission and the presentation of the “Who's Afraid of Mathematics” mobile application developed within the scope of the project were held.
Deputy Governor Esengül Korkmaz Çiçekli, Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Çalışkan, KMU Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Cihat Abdioğlu, KTO Karatay University Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Çıbıkdiken, Provincial Deputy Director of National Education İsmail Kılınç, Provincial Director of National Education Hüseyin Sekman, Şahin Yeter and Halil Sanlı attended the meeting. Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Çıbıkdiken, Provincial Deputy Director of National Education İsmail Kılınç, Provincial National Education Branch Managers Hüseyin Sekman, Şahin Yeter and Halil Sanlı attended the meeting. In addition, representatives from the project partners Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Greece, Italy and Romania participated in the meeting via online connection.
Project Process and Objectives
The program started with the introduction video of the project. Provincial Deputy Director of National Education İsmail Kılınç made the opening speech and gave information about the details of the project. Mr. Kılınç said, “With great excitement and pride, we are happy to introduce our ‘Who's Afraid of Mathematics’ mobile application developed within the scope of this project and to come together in an international meeting. We are currently together with our project partners from 6 countries. Our project team started working in 2021 to support our students with mathematics learning difficulties and we brought together contemporary technologies with education with our colleagues from 6 different countries.”
Deputy Director İsmail Kılınç shared the following information about the project process: “Within the scope of the Everything Starts with Mathematics Project, an opening meeting was held in September 2022, hosted by Karaman Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the project objectives and implementation processes were discussed.” Kılınç said, ”In November 2022, a meeting was held in Romania on mathematics.
