KARAMAN HOSTS THE KICK OFF MEETING OF THE ERASMUS+ PROJECT “EVERYTHING STARTS WITH MATHEMATICS

The first transnational meeting of the ESWM - Everything Starts with Mathematics, a project designed to improve learning methods in Mathematics, took place in Karaman, Turkey, between the 5th and 7th of September 2022. The Consortium of this Erasmus+ project, co-funded by the European Commission gathers partners from Turkey, Romania, Italy, Greece, Spain and Portugal. The partnership was welcomed by the Karaman İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü, the institution that received the representatives of the foreign delegations and to who introduced the national learning systems and support facilities.

During three days, the attendees had the opportunity to discuss the project and make the necessary arrangements for the tasks ahead. Each partner assumes different responsibilities regarding the project implementation, although the activities to be carried out are transversal to the Consortium, which implies strong cooperation and teamwork. ESWM results from a clear necessity to help students across Europe to overcome their difficulties in this specific discipline, Mathematics. The project aims to develop creative and incisive methods in order to help students to thrive in this academic area, a fundamental one to acquire useful skills for life. The participants from Romania, Italy, Greece, Spain and Portugal also had the opportunity to discover the Konya region, a fabulous and memorable experience for all. The project “Everything Starts with Mathematics” initiated in late 2021 and will be implemented for 24 months.
