Students Experience International Collaboration in Spain as Part of Erasmus+ Project
From October 16th to 20th, 2023, Colegio Montesclaros in Madrid, Spain, hosted the first student exchange of the Erasmus+ project “Everything Starts with Mathematics.” Students and teachers from Turkey, Spain, Romania, Greece, and Portugal gathered to share their project work, present information about their schools and countries, and collaborate on innovative mathematics activities.
Throughout the week, participants tested mathematical games designed to develop creative problem-solving skills. Teachers also met to plan the next phase of the project. In addition to academic activities, the students enjoyed a cultural program, including visits to the historic El Escorial Monastery and Monument, as well as the iconic sights of Madrid.
This international mobility aimed to help students overcome challenges in learning mathematics by promoting new, interactive educational methods and strengthening cross-cultural connections. The project, launched in 2022 and co-funded by the European Union, will continue until February 2025.
